All signs are digitally direct printed to 3M™ Reflective Sheeting with full 7, 10, or 12 year 3M™ MCS™ Warranty. Fully reflective sign faces provide functionality day and night. Combined with unlimited colours and fine detail, signs are clear and crisp both up close and personal and from a distance under lower light conditions.
Sign faces are produced in compliance with national and regional regulatory standards, following 3M processing methods. This provides the highest quality and longest lasting reflective signage available on the market.
Signs ordered through the Public Wayfinding Kit are printed, packed and shipped by our fabrication partners located in British Columbia, Canada. The leader in reflective sign printing innovation for over 40 years, they are a 3M™ Certified Digital Fabricator. This requires a rigorous annual audit to ensure full compliance with the manufacture of regulated traffic signage with 3M™ Reflective Sheeting.

Full colour reflective sign faces are digitally printed direct to one of several grades of 3M™ Retroreflective Sheeting. Primarily, the smoother 3290 Engineer Grade will be used for signs designed to be read up close. With its uniform visual appearance, small details on maps and typography will be crisp and clear. Alternatively, any of 3420 Engineer Grade Prismatic, 3930 High Intensity Prismatic Sheeting, or 4090 Diamond Grade™ DG3 can be applied to signage designed to be read at a distance with less typographic detail.

Every print is protected by a high performance, optically clear overlay for use on signs made from 3M™ 1170 Protective Overlay Film. This optically clear coating protects your signs long term. With anti-graffiti properties, many types of defacement can be removed from this film to substantially restore performance and appearance of the sign.

All sign graphics are permanently applied to 5052 H38 aluminum blades. This alloy is one of the strongest available, with an increased rigidity which reduces its ability to bend.
Most signs blades in the kit are applied to .081 (12 gauge) thick, which is a standard traffic sign dimension. For signs in the kit which are intended for pedestrian settings, or those of larger scale, we specify 1/8" thick aluminum. This prevents damage from vandalism or minor accidents.
