Map Directional

from $575.00

This single-sided sign provides directions, amenity icons and a local area walking map for pedestrians. A clear "You Are Here" arrow orients the viewer on the walking map, pointing in the direction they are standing in relation to the sign. The map is an extremely useful element for people on foot or wheels who can get close to the sign. It contains all destinations within its boundaries, from Tiers 1, 2, and 3.

The top area lists up to three destinations that are within walking distance. It can incorporate up to six icons for different amenities, or to indicate an accessible route. This design is small and fits well within downtown areas and residential neighbourhoods .

It can be mounted on a single post or affixed to street lamps or similar infrastructure.

Adding A Walking Map?

There are two ways to proceed:

  1. You provide us your walking map and we will review and prepare it for printing.

  2. Our wayfinding graphic designers can prepare a custom map using your base GIS information.

For the first option, the file should be sent in vector outline format as a PDF or Adobe Illustrator (.ai) file. Alternative formats can be accepted and can be converted for an artwork preparation fee. If this is required, we will let you know in advance. In this case we will contact you to get the electronic file. For the second option, email or call us and we can discuss the area that requires mapping and what type of base information is available.

Adding Your City or Town Logo?

If you have selected to add any custom artwork to a sign, such as your city logo or a special icon, we will contact you to get the electronic file. It should be send in vector outline format as a PDF or Adobe Illustrator (.ai) file. Alternative formats can be accepted and can be converted for an artwork preparation fee. If this is required, we will let you know in advance.

Add Your Message Before Checkout

Upon checkout, you will see a form like this. There are a few easy steps to getting your sign shipped faster. If you know what you want on your sign:

  1. Arrows Copy and paste an arrow for each destination.

  2. Destination Name Type up to 13 characters and spaces of text for each line of the destination name. You can include up to three destinations if they each fit on one line. Destinations can also be two lines long, so 26 characters and spaces, but then you won’t have space for an icon.

  3. Icons? If you have room for it, and would like an icon or two with a destination, describe it in text below that destination. You don’t need any icons at all and more than 3 per destination get hard to read. More than 6 all together on any given sign is challenging for viewers to understand, so make sure your icons are important.

  4. Add To Cart Click the button to add this information to this specific sign for checkout. We will review your order before shipping if we see any red flags with what you’ve input here.
